There are several Filipino / Filipina fashion designers
There is Monique Lhuillier Who designed the Academy Awards dresses for Ms Ferrera of "Ugly Betty " fame and Kate Walsh of "Grey's Anatomy"
Then there is Benjie S. Manuel of Cagayan De Oro in Mindanao…..or Jose "Pitoy" Moreno…..Joseph Domingo…..the fabulous Rajo Laurel…..Ramon Valera….Cherrie Cariage…..

My opinion is it takes "money" to become famous….it takes fame to become wealthy in the fashion world….. You either come from wealth like Lhuillier before the world looks at your creations…..or you get lucky…..talent is not the only thing…..there are many VERY talented Pinoy fashion designers but the world little notices
