how are fashion trends started?
Posted by: admin : Category: top fashion designers
are they started by top fashion designers and then amateur fashion designers do a similar style, but what does it mean by a similar style? give me an example of a top designer clothes where it is shown in a magazine in a cheaper version by a amatuer designer? and what characteristics have 2 be involved in order for a trend to form?
please when u answer me answer all my questions, thank u!
Fashion trend forecasters predict what's next — what colors, fabrics and styles consumers will be wearing a year from now. That information is valuable to the people who make and sell clothes. It's the business of betting on what will make shoppers spend money.

Some trends are decided when popular people do something different/odd… then people copy it and it becomes un-weird and its cool and than voila! Trend!

Celebrities are always in style, and since over a million people look up to them and know all about them, celebrities fashion and styles turn into trends around the world! Not only celebrities, but designers create their own clothes that they would like people to wear and think people would buy, so designers definitely start trends. Also, models. All stores have models that set trends. Even the popular kids at a school set trends. Vera Wang is an example of an expensive designer that has a cheaper version sold at Kohl's!

people from fashion industires acutally sit down and discuss up comming trends. They try to think of something new. As u can see its easy to run out of ideas because sometimes the styles in the past come up again in the future. Alot of fashion magazines have a section when it shows a celebs dress thats like 2,000 dollars then a dress that looks the same for about 60 dollars.

well, one day i went on the charlotte russe website (charlotte russe is the most "designer-like" clothes anyone can get in my neighborhood) and i fund this GORGEOUS blue top. it was a blue babydoll dressy top, and i wanted it SO bad. except it was over $50. so i decided to grab an old white oversized t-shirt from my closet and in one day of sewing by hand, i had recreated the same top i found on the website, but even better. i'd say that's designer clothes recreated by an amateur. plus, i've started a DIY clothing trend among my friends!
